ISLAMIC RELIEF NEEDS VOLUNTEERS TO HELP KATRINA & RITA RELIEF EFFORTS IN BATON ROUGE, LA

Islamic Relief is helping the victims of Hurricane Katrina & Rita through out LA. Thousands of evacuees are homeless
and are in living in shelters and other people homes. We want to help there community by providing support to
shelters, individuals, and other organizations.

We are calling on volunteers to come to Baton Rouge to assist with:

- Delivering much needed supplies to neglected shelters

- Distribution of hot meals

- Working with other relief organizations to maintain supplies at our warehouse

- Cleaning up homes and local Masjids

- Plug into current Islamic Relief projects

- Talk to victims to assist with grief and trauma

We ask that volunteers provide their own transportation and Islamic Relief will arrange for all food and
accommodations. Please be aware that it is difficult to find vacancies at hotels, so the sleeping arrangements will be
at apartments separate for brothers and sisters.

We are looking for commitment for at least 1-2 week spans, but any help is appreciated if you can only spare a few days
or even a weekend. Please provide us with dates that you are considering to come.
