PORTRAITS
- In 1999, I participated in the exhibition,
"The Flint Sit-Down Strike of 1936-1937:
Witnesses and Warriors", which was made
possible by the contributions of
The United Automobile Workers Region 1-C,
The Foundation for Mott Community College, and
Mott Community College.
My subject, Laura Hayward,
worked closely with the leaders of the Womens
Emergency Brigade during this
historic autoworker sit-down strike.
First shown at the
Greater Flint Arts Council,
this oil portrait is part of a traveling exhibition.
- This oil portrait of Mary Sepanak,
a Flint area country-western singer, is in her private collection.
- In 1995, I was commissioned by the Community Coalition
of Flint to do three graphite portraits of their founders:
Olive Beasley,
Ronald O. Warner, and
Sydney B. Melet.
